My name is Ben Morrow, and I am trying to help my friends in Palestine.
The items for sale in this store were given to me by my good friend https://tinkerspider.itch.io/. We have plans to work together in the future, and were caught off guard by the sales platform taking a turn for the scarily unrealiable. These two items were ready to go, and so Onno decided that I could just put them to work now while we figure out how to pivot with our plans.
The goal is to sell the items at the listed prices, 50% to go to GFM and chuffed campaigns, 50% to cover the expenses and help keep me afloat while I change jobs. As soon as I (hopefully) start getting regular income (early october if things don't burn down between then and now), I can switch that percentage to something even more generously effective, basically just keeping enough to cover costs.
Transparency: Since I plan to support families directly whenever possible, I plan to document the transactions and add them to the developement logs. Folks can see the campaigns of the people the purchases support. If things change, I will update with the changes by date. If an expense pops up from nowhere, I'll just document that and it's impact on any pricing adjustments.
Qualifications: I am completely unqualified to do this. It's because I received the programs as gifts and was invited to do this that it's possible. I am qualified to verify funding campaigns, as most of my activity on bluesky is just about sharing the funding pages of people trying to live. I am drawn to people who are suffering bad luck and slipping through the cracks that others pass over, and there has not been a shortage of people in need.
